I'll work for the next 10 days for a big company, very well managed, market leader, with tremendous and extremely well trained management while dull however competent employes spend their days working, whispering secrets and complain about. It' s all very strange, aseptic, controlled, silent. Unreal. Are these people so concentrated all day? Are they really engrossed? Do they care so much? Are they sleeping? Are they alive?
Today has been my first day. Starting from tomorrow I will have to analyze 30 competitors balance sheets and help executives to evaluate if there are good cut off sales around.
End of the season sales for the next 9 days then, not exactly the kind of shopping I was thinking of.
